    Title: Procurement Coordinator

    Reports To:  Director, Procurement


    Position Summary: The Procurement Coordinator assists with procurement activities for the Operations Group. Main responsibilities include managing purchase requisitions, modifying purchase orders, reporting, and acting as a point of contact for procurement related matters.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Daily review and approval of purchase requisitions
    • Investigate and resolve purchase order discrepancies (incorrect item, price, etc.)
    • Responsible for managing and creating purchase requisitions
    • Work closely with finance team to ensure correct g/l coding
    • Modify purchase orders as required
    • Recommend additions/deletions to the item master
    • Recommend additions/deletions to the vendor master
    • Review and distribute Procurement reports (spending, goods/services receipts)
    • Assists in budget templates for their portfolio
    • Responsible for reporting on all noncompliance (internal and external) procurement related issues
    • Manage the Receiver Follow Up Report
    • Validate Month End Accruals
    • Address vendor inquiries and service/goods related issues
    • Other projects assigned by Manager, Regional Procurement

     

    Qualifications:

    • College diploma or University degree in accounting, business, or a related field
    • Two to five years of related procurement experience
    • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) equivalent or in progress
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong administrative and organisational skills
    • Experience with SAP or a similar Procurement system
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask, and prioritize
    • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skill
