Title: Application Change Release and Support Lead

Reports To:  Head, Enterprise Business Solutions

 

Summary of Role:

 

This role will focus on application enhancement related changes. Primary responsibility will be creating and implementing application change management strategies and plans. This role will work as a strong partner with CAPREIT’s Center of Excellence (COE) and other business stakeholders ensuring fulfillment with the global operating procedures for changes to configurable items for different applications.

 

Functional Accountabilities:

  • Lead daily operational application admin support activities
  • Collaborate with COE and other technical resources on the delivery of requested application changes
  • Manage a structured release management policy, communicating change content details with Change Advisory Board / COE as a part of the change management process
  • Develop and maintain configuration repositories according to established version management approaches and methods
  • Manage change portfolio and product release notes/patches/upgrades with Application manager, with change requestors and with business users
  • Inform Application managers on the status of pertinent tasks
  • Maintain test plans, ensure subsequent fixes/application enhancements are tested using automated testing tools
  • Manage application admin, security and testing resources
  • Manage Application Management Services relationship and SLA’s with the vendor
  • Scope the change release requirements and augment the resources with vendors where required

 

Communication:

  • Experienced in effectively interacting and communicating with business partners
  • Can consolidate requirements and translate them into deliverables

 

Application Change and support Concepts:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the global change management processes and operating mechanisms within the COE and other business stakeholders to ensure all updates to the application production landscape are undertaken in a disciplined and controlled manner
  • Good facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively with peer and leadership teams
  • Has utilized in their career several different project methodologies and understands when different approaches are appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance and Segregation of Duties in process execution and represent changes at CAB and Architectural Review Board for approvals to release
  • Ensure that emergency releases to production are followed up and compliance reporting retrospectively prepared
  • Implement and operate the day to day management of the change and release management process for the COE - ensuring staff successfully create and execute change controls in line with standard operating procedures
  • Manage daily, ad-hoc and monthly operational security requests


Education and Experience:

  • University degree; (Business, IT, Computer Science, Math, or Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing, scoping, defining, implementing, and then leading a change management service.( SAP, Salesforce, Sucessfactors)
  • Real estate experience an asset
