Job Description (EN)

CAPREIT is currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator who will primarily be responsible for the administration requirements of the day to day responsibilities of the Human Resources Department.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Respond to day to day general inquiries regarding HR Policies and Procedures
  • Update and maintain the Human Resources Information Systems on SAP Success Factors including new hire data entry and validation
  • Support the recruitment process by posting jobs on various advertising mediums internally and externally including the corporate website
  • Screen and identify qualified resumes and provide Managers with timely updates on recruitments
  • Schedule and conduct phone and in-person interviews
  • Prepare offer of employment letters, transfer letters, and other employment-related documentation
  • Process pre-employment background inquiries including reference, credit and criminal record checks
  • Conduct Corporate office new hire orientations and office tours
  • Coordinate new hire packages and ensure all outstanding documents are submitted for new employees
  • Human Resources data reporting and analysis including preparing standardized bi-weekly reports from the HRIS through data export and manipulation in Microsoft Excel
  • Assist the Senior Benefits Specialist in administration of the employee benefits program by coordinating prescription cards, following up on beneficiary forms, updating the benefits administration system, and assisting during re-enrollment periods
  • Support the Payroll, Training, and Organizational Change Management teams as required
  • Issue employment confirmation letters as requested
  • Maintain paper employee files
  • Provide support on various HR related projects


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively and with conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
  • Logical and analytical, with strong planning and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Mature judgment, strong principles and ability to exercise tact, discretion and diplomacy at all times
  • Strong work ethic and customer service oriented
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly with MS Office is a prerequisite
  • Experience working on SAP SuccessFactors would be considered an asset
  • Completed or working toward completing the CHRP designation
