The Opportunity

The Talent Acquisition Associate plays a key role in attracting and hiring top talent for CAPREIT by partnering with hiring managers, managing full-cycle recruitment, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience aligned with company values. This role contributes to talent acquisition strategies, employer branding, and pipeline development while building strong relationships across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-focused, and passionate about connecting top talent with meaningful career opportunities.

 

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Administer full-cycle recruitment including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.
  • Support the Regional People Partner team with recruitment activities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and define role requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions aligned with CAPREIT standards.
  • Assess candidates through phone, virtual, and situational/behavioural interviews, providing hiring managers with qualified shortlists and hiring recommendations.
  • Develop talent pipelines through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networking.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in iCIMS, ensuring data integrity and seamless onboarding into SAP SuccessFactors and ADP.
  • Track recruitment activity and provide feedback to support hiring decisions.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to support enhancement of recruitment activities.
  • Participate in talent acquisition projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.

Candidate Experience & Branding

  • Deliver professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain proactive and timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Support employer branding initiatives, including recruitment marketing, social media campaigns, career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment activities.
  • Promote the organization’s culture, values, and employee value proposition to attract top talent.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRP designation (or progress toward certification) is considered an asset.
  • 2 years of experience in talent acquisition/recruitment, with demonstrated success managing 15-20 requisitions and hiring managers simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, IT, Frontline Property Management, or similar business areas.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies (iCIMS experience is an asset).
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
