Title: Coordinator, Internal Culture

 

Reports To: Director, Culture & Office Services 

 

Position Summary: The Internal Culture & DEI Coordinator supports the daily execution of culture, engagement, inclusion, leadership, and community initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Internal Culture & DEI Lead, the role brings people-focused programs to life through coordination, logistics, and administrative support. It ensures initiatives are well-organized, smoothly delivered, and aligned with strategic direction. This position is ideal for someone passionate about people, culture, and inclusion who enjoys managing details, juggling multiple projects, and learning how enterprise-level culture and DEI programs operate.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Program & Initiative Coordination:

  • Provide organizational support to internal committees and working groups, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting discussions, and monitoring action items.
  • Deliver hands on coordination for culture, engagement, DEI, and leadership development initiatives, including scheduling, logistics, documentation, follow-ups, and support for forums, conferences, workshops, and other people focused events.

Events, Community & Engagement Support:

  • Support the planning and execution of employee events, social initiatives, and cultural celebrations, including vendor coordination, calendars, materials, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Assist with internal charitable and community initiatives in partnership with CAPGiving, including fundraising campaigns, volunteer activities, participation tracking, and communications support.

 

Research, Tracking & Reporting:

  • Conduct targeted research and benchmarking to inform programming decisions, identify best practices, and support ongoing process and experience improvements.
  • Develop post activity summaries and documentation that capture key insights, support evaluation efforts, and enable effective planning and knowledge sharing across the team.

 

Communications & Administrative Support:

  • Support internal culture and engagement communications by drafting content, coordinating timelines, and ensuring information is shared accurately and on time.
  • Provide general day-to-day coordination and administrative support to the Culture & DE&I function, helping keep initiatives organized and moving forward.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Required / Preferred:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Communications, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfort supporting senior leaders and collaborating across teams
  • Experience supporting events, student organizations, committees, or volunteer initiatives is an asset
