Title: Human Resources Program Specialist

Reports To: Vice President, Human Resources

 

Position Summary: The HR Program Specialist manages CAPREIT's human resource programs and initiatives from planning to execution. The HR Program Specialist will apply their expertise in industry trends and tools to contribute to company success and overall employee satisfaction. As an integral player in the company, this role will collaborate with various departments for reporting duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and coordinates various HR programs and projects including monitoring progress against milestones to ensure key deadlines are met
  • Manages CAPREIT's Talent Development cycle from planning to execution, including providing counsel and training to stakeholders as required
  • Liaises with department heads to drive and align HR programs and initiatives with key business and employee engagement objectives.
  • Provides advice and counsel to department heads, managers, and staff on updating and interpreting programs.
  • Researches, analyzes data and prepares reports and recommendations based on industry and HR trends
  • Develops, reviews, and revises program policies and procedures.
  • Manages compilation and distribution of recurring and ad-hoc HR reports including data analysis as required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role supporting program and/or project management
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects that showcase multi-tasking and problem solving under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Completion of, or working towards CHRP designation
