    CAPREIT is seeking a Communications Specialist, Tenant Experience to play a critical role in enhancing the experience between CAPREIT and its residents. Supporting the Director, Marketing & Tenant Experience, the position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring communications in support of operational and resident-focused initiatives. This includes social media monitoring, resident resolution management communications, copywriting, awareness campaign communications and program launch communications, social media content creation, website content creation, presentations and creative communication, and communications plans in support of strategic initiatives. Working with internal team project management, the successful candidate will support the communication objectives of the Tenant Experience team, while always keeping visual storytelling an important component of their work.
    This is a rewarding position for an ambitious, adaptable and self-motivated communications specialist who possesses excellent writing, editing and content design skills, including proficiency with Adobe Create Suite (including In Design), PowerPoint, and other presentation platforms.
     
    Skills and Requirements:
    • Minimum of three years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, and/or social media marketing
    • Strategic (internal and external) communications planning experience
    • Demonstrated experience with social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter etc.) and managing/monitoring tools such as managing and responding to social media channels and campaigns with the ability to monitor and adjust communication strategies accordingly
    • Prior experience in writing, editing and managing social media accounts to influence and enhance the online reputation of an organization
    • Community college or university in public relations, journalism, marketing and/or related field
    • Knowledge of Adobe CS5 Suite, with emphasis on In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop is required for web-authoring technology, desktop and web publishing tools
    • Prior experience in layout design using Adobe In Design, Dreamweaver, PageMaker, and/or Photoshop
    • Knowledge of HTML principles and photo manipulation software
    • Impeccable attention to detail to ensure all aspects of delivery of content are flawless and confirm to our corporate branding
    • A empathetic, client-focused mindset, that puts the communication needs of our residents first in the communication, process and projects delivered
    • A keen eye for visual content and creative copy style
    • A sense of urgency and a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude
    • Proven ability and flexibility to manage multiple deadlines and readjust priorities accordingly
    • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively within the organization and with all stakeholders
